Burlington County College Acceleration Program (BCC CAP)

The Lenape Regional High School District in partnership with Burlington County College offers students taking select courses an opportunity to earn both high school and college credit. LRHSD courses designated as “BCC CAP courses” are taught during the regular school day by members of LRHSD staff who are also certified as BCC adjunct professors. Here are a few facts to consider when deciding to register for BCC CAP college credit:

1. Each BCC CAP class is only $100 (this includes all 3- or 4-credit college courses). Some LRHSD courses are equivalent to two BCC courses (= $200).
2. CAP is not intended to replace the AP program (although a student choosing not to test for AP credit could earn BCC CAP credit if desired).
3. CAP credit is transferable to any public college or university in New Jersey.
4. Many out-of-state colleges accept credit earned through a CAP program.
5. Students should sign up for CAP credit if they have a reasonable expectation of earning a “C” or better in the course.
6. Registration is final; BCC will not refund students who drop a BCC CAP course.

Students need to bring a check payable to Burlington County College and a completed registration form (distributed by their teacher during the first week of school or available in the Counseling Center).
